BRECKON, age 65 years. Mr. BRECKON was born in Yorkshire,
England in 1809 and came to America in 1830. He was educated

now bereaved wife in 1833, after which he joined the M.E.
Church. He resided in Rochester, New York, and Ft. Wayne
until 1838 when he came to St. Marys. He was a man not to be
soon forgotten. He was honest, independent, kindly and
benevolent. As will always follow, as a reward for such
qualities he had many warm and true friends. He was a sincere
man, and amidst the infirmities common to us all he was a
Christian man. He suffered much, and had his full share of
cares and sorrow. It is a comfort to feel that they are now
at an end. He died in living faith of that religion which he
had so long professed.

Obituary
/ Additional Information: Died of Consumption on Tuesday, 3rd
inst. Delia, wife of John MANOR, of this place (St. Marys).
Again has Death's shadow darkened a happy home and brought
desolation to the fireside. The loving and tender wife and
mother is taken from her place in the family leaving a
terrible anguish that only a mother's loss can give. The
bright, cheerful soul that was the life of the social circle,
the universally esteemed of all her associates, has been
called to a reward that is to their gain, but to her friends
an enduring sorrow.... Mrs. M. suffered much in her last
sickness, and loosening of the bonds of life was a happy
relief. She leaves a husband and three small children, with
hosts of friends to kindly remember her. Funeral services
will take place this afternoon from the M.E. Church.
