Additional: Benjamin Ernst Aufderhaar, age 70, 206 East Spring Street, New Knoxville, died at 2:30 a.m. today at Joint Township Memorial hospital where he had been under treatment since Friday. A cerebral hemorrhage was the cause of death. He had been ill for two years. Mr. Aufderhaar was a retired elcetrician of the Monarch Tool Company, Sidney. He was born Dec. 2, 1899, in Washington Township, the son of Ernst and Sophie Bielefeld Aufderhaar. On Sept. 5, 1912, he married Elizabeth Kachelries who survives along with one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Edna) Elshoff, R.R.1, New Knoxville, two grandchildren, Joann and Gary Elshoff, one sister, Mrs. Anna Feil, Wapakoneta. One child is deceased. Mr. Aufderhaar was a member of the First E&R United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and the Churchmen's brotherhood of the church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Church with the Rev. F.J. Lowenbergh officiating. Burial will take place in Pilger Ruhe cemetery. Friends may call at the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen, after Thursday noon until 10:30 a.m. Friday when the body will be removed to the church to lie there in state until the hour of the services.
