Additional: Mrs. Sophia Buckloh, age 86, widow of Henry Buckloh, died at 9 a.m. today at the United Church of Christ Home for the Aged in Upper Sandusky where she had lived since February 1951. Mrs. Buckloh had been seriously ill for the last three weeks suffering with a heart ailment. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Settlage, north of New Knoxville, and was born April 1, 1872. She was married to Henry Buckloh who preceded her in death. Mrs. Buckloh had lived near New Bremen previously to her husband's death, then made her home with her brothers, the late Theodore and Louis Settlage and their families north of New Knoxville for some years before going to the Home for the Aged. She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Rose Settlage, R.R.1, New Knoxville, Mrs. Alice Settlage, New Knoxville, and Mrs. Cindy Buckloh, St. Marys, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Buckloh was a member of the First United Church of Christ (E&R), New Knoxville, the German Bible Class and the Ladies Aid. Her body will be brought Saturday to the Vornholt Funeral Home at New Bremen where funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Ernst Fledderjohann officiating. Burial will take place in German Protestant cemetery. Friends may call at the home beginning after 7 p.m. until the hour of the services.
