Additional: Longtime Alaskan resident Dale Donald Bernard Friemering, 61, died of cancer January 17, 1993 at Providence Hospital. There will be a visitation at 10 a.m. Thursday, followed by a funeral at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 1145 C Street. The Rev. Keith Fullerton will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Fort Richardson National Cemetary. Mr. Friemering was born July 18, 1931, in Minster, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was discharged at Eielson Air Force Base in 1954. He lived in Unalakleet for several years before making his home in Anchorage. Mr. Friemering had worked as a computer specialist for Camco Wire Line Services in Ahchorage for 18 years. His family said, "He is rememered as a loving, giving man who enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was devoted to his wife and was happiest when surrounded by his family. He enjoyed playing bingo, camping and berry picking. He was energetic and had a zest for life. He always had an ear for problems large and small." In addition to his wife, Corinne, Mr. Friemering is survived by his six sons, Donn Baker of Sacramento, Calif., John Friemering of Soldotna, Sam, David and Robert Friemering and Benjamin Wright, all of Anchorage; and nine daughters, Coral Frank of Holy Cross, Evie and Peggy Frankson of Point Hope, D'Brianne Gilmore, Cora Hart, Ruth Black, Elizabeth Tourtelot and Karen and Jacqui Friemering, all of Anchorage; and 17 grandchildren. Pallbearers will include Sam Friemering, John Friemering, Herman Black, Joseph Frank, Benjamin Frankson and Joseph Hart. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Friemering's family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society, 406 W. Fireweed Lane, #204, Anchorage, Alaska 99503. Arrangments were handled by Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
