Additional: Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m. today at St. Pauls United Church of Christ for Henry W. Fledderjohn, age 68, 302 South Vine Street, who died suddenly of a heart attack at 11:45 a.m. Saturday in his automobile at Wapkoneta. Mr. Fledderjohn had just returned to the car at West Auglaize and Blackhoof streets, where he met Mrs. Fledderjohn, when he was fatally striken. Death was pronounced due to a heart attack by Dr. Richard Schaeffers, Wapakoneta. Mr. Fledderjohn was an auto trimmer and upholsterer, operating his own shop for years at 302 S. Vine Street. He was a World War I Veteran serving with Co. G. 347th Regiment, U.S. Army. Mr. Fledderjohn was the son of the late Frederick Henry and Fredericka Meckstroth Fledderjohn. He was born in Shelby county on Feb 13, 1892. On June 25, 1924, he married Effie Barnhart who is left to mourn his death with three brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Cook, Tiffin, Mrs. Fred (Matilda) Lammers, Mrs. Benjmain (Minnie) Wierwille and Mrs. Wesley (Elizabeth) Lammers, all of New Knoxville, Herman Fledderjohn, Toledo, Silas Fledderjohn, New Bremen and Reinhart Fledderjohn, Scottsdale, Ariz. One son died at birth. Mr. Fledderjohn was always interested in boys and was popular among young people. He had lived in St. Marys since 1927. Previously to that itme he had been a resident of New Knoxville except for the years 1924-27 when he lived in Dayton. Mr. Fledderjohn was a member of the St. Paul's Church of Christ, the St. Marys Post 323 of the American Legion and the Ft. Barbee chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. The Rev. William Oelrich is conducting the funeral services. Burial will take place in the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. His body was removed today noon from Yoder & Long Funeral Home to the church were it lay in state until the time of the services.
