Additional: Former New Knoxvillle resident, Matilda W. Fledderjohann, 88, died at 11 :28 a.m Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital West in Mount Clemens, Mich. She was born March 3, 1895, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Charles and Anna Lammers Meckstroth. On June 16, 1920, she married Rev. Adolph Fledderjohann, who died in 1932. Rev. and Mrs. Fledderjohann served Saron United Church of Christ in Linto, Ind., and Zions United Church of Christ in Decatur, Ind. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxvile where she had been a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of the Church's Women's Guild and was active in community and school affairs in New Knoxville. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bertram (Virginia) Stoeckel of Kettering. Mrs. Don (Letha) Harig of Cuyahoga Falls and Mrs. Umberto (Roberta) Tanzini of Mount Clemans, Mich., with whom she had made her home for the past several years; three grandchildren; two brothers, Jacob Meckstroth of Columbus and Rev. R.B. Meckstroth of New Knoxville; and a sister, Mrs. A.F. (Meta) Hoge of New Knoxville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Church of Christ, Rev. Richard W. Sather officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may call at Vornholt Funeral Home, New Knoxville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
