Additional: Final rites for Mrs. Lena E. Hoelscher, 87, R.R.1, New Knoxville, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, by the Rev. Kenneth Worthman. Mrs. Hoelscher was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:52 a.m. Saturday at the Joint Township Memorial Hospital. A sudden apparent heart attack caused her death. She was born January 22, 1886, in Washington Township, Auglaize County, a daughter of Fred and Mary Feldwisch Lutterbeck. She was married to Ben Hoelscher on December 7, 1905. He died in 1971. Surviving are two sons, Oscar Hoelscher and Casper Hoelscher, both of R.R.1, New Knoxville; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Fred Lutterbeck, R.R.1, New Knoxville. Preceding her in death were two sons, Walter and Vernon Hoelscher, two brothers, Fred and George Lutterbeck, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry ELSCHOFF and Mrs. H.P. ARNETT. The deceased was a member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and the Bible Class and the Ladies Aid of the church. Burial will be made in the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call at the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Knoxville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Tuesday after which the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the hour of the services.
