Additional: New Knoxville—Sylvanus T. Kuck, 75, Route 1, New Knoxville, died of an apparent heart attack at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital at 1:28 p.m. Sept. 24, 1984. He was born May 26, 1909 southeast of New Knoxville to Theodore H. and Sarah (Lammers) Kuck. He married Ruth Katterhenry, who survives him, Feb. 14, 1936. Other survivors are a daughter, Ella Mae Heffner, St. Marys; two sons, Kenneth, Loma Linda, Calif. and Robert, Celina; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Wesley (Viola) Eversman, New Knoxville; Mrs. Albert (Marcella) Clausing, St. Marys; Mrs. Frank (Adella) Wilson, Jackson Center; and two brothers Harold, N. Miami, Fla. and Orloe, Lima. Mr. Kuck, a retired carpenter, was a member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, where he was a deacon and trustee. He sang in the church choir for 34 years. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, with Rev. Jon Coddington officiating. Burial will be at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call at Vornholt Funeral Home, New Knoxville, Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and at the church Thursday from 11-2 p.m. Preferred memorial gifts are to the American Heart Association.
