Additional: Elsie M. Niemeyer, 74, of Rt.2, Wapakoneta, died at 1 a.m. today at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She had been ill for the past year and had been hospitalized eight days. Born September 29, 1904 in Washington Township, Auglaize County, she was the daughter of Henry and Emma (Schroer) Buddemeyer. On November 6, 1926, she was married to Gustave L. Niemeyer, who survives. Also surviving are five children, Mrs. Verlin (Martha) Strasburg, of Rt. 1, St. Marys; Robert, of Rt. 2, Wapakoenta; Mrs. Ronald (Donna) Mann of Rt. 2, Wapakoneta; George, of Rt. 2, Wapakoneta; and Mrs. Vernon (Julia) Paul, of New Bremen; 16 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harold (Adeline) Lechner of Columbus; and one brother, Oliver, of New Knoxville. Mrs. Niemeyer was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville and was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and the Women's Guild of the church. She was also a member of Farm Bureau Council No. 26. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the church, the Rev. Richard W. Sather officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Knoxville, from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday and until 11 a.m. Saturday, when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church Memorial Fund or the Heart Fund.
