Additional: Mrs. Leah Quellhorst, 205 South Wayne Street, widely known here through years of service as a saleswoman, died suddenly of a coronary embolism at 6:30 o'clock this morning at Lima Memorial hospital. She had been ill five days. Mrs. Quellhorst was 59 years of age. She was born April 22, 1890, southeast of St. Marys, a daughter of the late William and Mary Henning Koebel and had lived all of her life in this community. On Jan. 15, 1915, she was married to Herbert C. Quellhorst, now deceased. Left to mourn her death are an only daughter, Mrs. Ferd (Dorothy) Schwepe, the son-in-law, Ferd Schwepe, of St. Marys, and one sister, Mrs. A.J. (Maude) Kumpf of Columbus. A sister Anna, preceded her in death. There are many friends. Mrs. Quellhorst was employed as a clerk at Clear's Shoe Store until the time of her fatal illness. Previously she clerked for Armstrong Shoe Store. She is remembered, too, through her association with the Quellhorst Confectionery in former years. As a saleswoman she was courteous and helpful, winning many friends through her service. She was a member of the Methodist church, the Woman's Society of Christian Service and the Ladies Bible Class. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist church. The Rev. William H. Huber will officiate. Burial will take place in Elmgrove cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Saturday evening, Sunday afternoon and evening, and Monday up until the hour of the services.
