Additional: Vernon W. Ruwoldt, 47, of 814 East Spring St., St. Marys, died suddenly at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in the Toledo Medical College Hospital where he had been transferred the day before in the city emergency ambulance from Joint Township Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ruwoldt had become ill two weeks ago and had been in the local hospital since that time. Born December 7, 1923, in St.Marys, he was the son of Charles and Rosena Wibbler Ruwoldt. On December 31, 1943, he married Ruth Marie Fetters and she survives with four sons and a daughter. They are Jerry Lee of New Knoxville, James Allen of St. Marys, Michael Eugene and Bobby Joe at home, and Mrs. Roger (Mary Kay) Parent, Jr. of St. Marys. Also surviving are six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Frances) Ahlers, New Bremen and Mrs. Gerald (Marcella) Johnson of Jackson, Michigan and two half brothers, Raymond Ruwoldt of St. Marys and Wilson Ruwoldt of Lima. Mr. Ruwoldt was an associate member of the Robert Lee Griner Post 9289 Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a truck driver for the Transportation Services, Inc. of Detroit, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Yoder, Long and Folk funeral home with the Rev. Howard H. Poetter officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Friday.
