Additional: Wapakoneta—Forrest E. (Frosty) Stolte, 79, St. Marys Living Center and formerly of Wagner Street, died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1920 in St. Marys to William and Sarah S. Clausing Stolte Jr. He is survived by one daughter, Rodney Ann and Robert Bensman of Minster; two sisters: Dorothy Stienecker of St. Marys and Charlene Rasmussen of West Covina, Ca.; five grandchildren: Mark, Amy, Brandi, Jason Bensman; six great grandchildren. A jeweler and watchmaker, Mr. Stolte had owned and operated the Stolte Jewelry Store in Wapakoneta for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served during WWII. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Wapakoneta. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #691 and a former member of the Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce, the Business Men's Association, the Kiwanis Club and the Flying Farmers Club, all of Wapakoneta. He was a 1937 graduate of New Knoxville High School. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta. Burial will follow in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW.
